I am a twin cities natural light and studio photographer specializing in newborns, milestones, seniors, and families. I am now in my seventh year of photographing professionally. I started out photographing my own daughters and realized I loved the challenge of creating beautiful portraits of children and families. I am always trying to learn more about how to take a better photograph. From mentorships, to online learning, to workshops, I am always studying new ways to perfect my craft.
About Me I am first and foremost a mother and wife, so I know how important your family and your memories are to you. My daughters are in fifth and sixth grade and I am the media specialist at their school. I have always had a desire to be an artist and photography is my way of fulfilling that dream. I look at my work as works of art and I put my heart and soul into every session and every image-- from the very first shutter click through hours of meticulous editing to delivering your gallery-- a little piece of my heart is in every part of the finished product you receive.
My Photography Philosophy I adore catching a little twinkle in a child's eye. When I photograph a loving gaze between a parent and child or a sweet interaction between siblings, it makes me happy beyond words. I absolutely love being able to witness the connection between family members.
While I love photos with everyone smiling and posing, my very favorite photos are always the unposed, candid shots from each session. I love the shots that capture each person just being his or herself rather than worrying about smiling for the camera.
A photograph freezes a moment in time forever, and I am passionate about creating images of your family that not only capture each moment, but will also be treasured forever. I am a firm believer in printing and displaying your photos-- don't let them waste away on your computer's hard drive!
